FBAScout has a feature that we call the Buy Button. You’ll see it in both the Android and iPhone versions of FBAScout.
What the Buy Button is designed to do is to allow you to ‘SAVE’ the items that you buy while out on a scouting trip. If you are buying books at a thrift store or toys at a retail store, you can build a list of the items that you plan to purchase. This Buy List can then be uploaded from FBAScout directly to your FBAPower account for fast and easy processing.
The numbers that you see at the bottom of the FBAScout screen are the totals for the items on your Buy List. This includes the total number of items, the Low List Price of the items, and the Average Rank of the items.
This allows you to eliminate the step of re-scanning your items at home when you are ready to list. Instead of scanning once at the store to decide if you want to buy, then scanning again at home when you want to list, you can just ‘save’ the item when you decide to buy and upload it to FBAPower.
Android Settings:
To View and Edit your Buy List:
In the FBAScout app, press the Menu button and then press Switch View. Here you can review the items on your Buy List. Hold your finger down on the item to either re-check the item in FBAScout or to delete it from your Buy List. To return to the FBAScout app, press the Menu button and then press Switch View.
To Clear your Buy List:
In the FBAScout app, press the Menu button and then press Clear. This will remove all items from your Buy List.
To Upload your Buy List:
In the FBAScout app, press the Menu button and then press Upload. This will send your Buy List to your FBAPower account. For this feature to work you must have an FBAPower account as well as your FBAPower email and password entered in the FBAScout app settings.
iPhone/iPad Settings:
To View and Edit your Buy List:
In the FBAScout app, SWIPE the screen UP. Here you can review the items on your Buy List. Touch an item to re-check it in FBAScout. Touch the red circle to remove a specific item from the Buy List. To return to the FBAScout app, SWIPE the screen DOWN.
To Clear your Buy List:
In the FBAScout app, SWIPE the screen UP and then press the Clear button. This will remove all items from your Buy List.
To Upload your Buy List:
In the FBAScout app, SWIPE the screen UP and then press Upload button. This will send your Buy List to your FBAPower account. For this feature to work you must have an FBAPower account as well as your FBAPower email and password entered in the FBAScout app settings.

Q. Do I have to use the Buy Button and Buy List?
A. No. You do not have to use this feature.
Q. Can I use FBAScout and the Buy button as a data-entry method instead of entering them into FBAPower by hand? Or by USB scanner?
A. This is not recommended. If you have the items ready to list, we strongly recommend and inexpensive USB laser scanner for your home computer. This will allow you to simply scan an item directly into FBAPower.
Q. I have the Scanfob 2002. Can I use it to enter items into FBAPower directly?
A. Yes, but you will have to change the settings back and forth between PC and mobile each time that you want to swap. While not difficult, most users will find that the swapping of settings is not worth the small savings compared to an inexpensive USB scanner
