The easiest way to understand and use FBAPower is to watch the demo video. It will walk you through all of the steps. Additional documentation and feature explanations can be found below.
Account Settings
Before you enter any items, you need to fill out your Account Settings.
Instructions
First, click on and read the FBAPower Guide. It will walk you through how to gather the required information to use FBAPower. All links are provided in the guide as well in the instructions under your Account Settings.
You will need to gather THREE numbers. These numbers are long and will make no sense but they need to be entered exactly right. It would be best to Copy & Paste the numbers into Word or Notepad for later use. Once you have read the FBAPower Guide and acquired the THREE necessary identifiers, you will be ready to enter them in your Account Profile.
Account Profile
Here you enter your email address and first and last name. You can also sign up to receive the FBAPower newsletter. It is recommended that you sign up to receive important updates about FBAPower (we promise that we will only send you important updates). Here is where you will enter the information that you gathered after reading the FBAPower Guide.
You need to enter:
Access Key ID (1)
Secret Access Key (2)
Merchant ID (3)
You will notice that the Marketplace field is already filled in. This is the Marketplace ID for Amazon. You will see the same number when you sign up for Amazon Merchant Web Services. We just tried to save you a step.
General Notes Here is where you can define some of the most common description notes that you personally use. I left the ones that we use as an example of things that you might want to consider. You can change these to anything that you want, or even leave them blank. When you enter an item, you will be able to select any or all of these notes with the click of a button to dramatically speed up the listing of items.
You can see some of the descriptors that we use. Feel free to use some or all of them. This speeds up describing items because you don't have to repeatedly type the same things over and over again. When listing an item, you will also have the chance to manually edit the entire description.
Options available for General Notes:
Auto-print label on save? When this is ON, your label will be sent to your label printer after you edit and save your notes for each item. Once you are comfortable with the program and the work flow, you may find that this helps you process your items faster by not having to manually click the Print Label button to generate your FBA label.
When this is OFF, you have to click the Print Label button to print your FBA label. New users may find that they prefer this way so that a they are able to continue to edit any fields without the label being generated and printed until they are sure that they are happy with the item.
Default next item to previous item note? Some users may call this 'Sticky Notes'. When this is ON, whatever General Notes are selected will carry over to the next item that is entered. Some users who pre sort their items by condition may prefer to have this setting ON to speed up their work flow. If a user has several ex-library books to process, then they would only have to select their ex-library General Note once and it would carry over to each item and save the user time instead of choosing their ex-library General Note manually for each item.
When this is OFF, the items' notes will reset for each item entered.
Here is what it looks like when you add General Notes to your item's description:
For this item, we have chosen 'Markings on spine/edges of book.' and 'Ex-library book. May have typical labels and markings.' These two descriptors will be added to the overall description of the book.
Pricing The pricing options will help you price your items competitively, intelligently, and quickly.
Options available for Pricing:
Auto-price items?
FBAPower helps you price your items automatically. When this is ON, your items will be priced according to the default price selected. If you choose the Mark Up/Down as your default, the program will automatically add this value to the lowest matching condition. If you are listing an item in 'Used' condition, FBAPower will take the lowest 'Used' price on Amazon for that item and add $3.99 to calculate the price at which your item will be listed. If you are listing an item in 'New' condition, this price will be based on the lowest price for the item listed in 'New condition'. This is designed for sellers who sell books. If you sell media items such as CDs, DVS, and VHS tapes, you can change this to $2.98. Or you can change it to whatever you like depending on your business model and strategies.
Show price popup on condition select?
Most users will want this ON. When this is ON, the pricing popup will appear after you select your items' condition. It will show the five lowest Used offers, the five lowest New offers, Amazon's price (if available) and any FBA seller offers. The pricing shown will be FBA Net pricing meaning the price shown is the price + shipping (+$3.99 for books and +$2.98 for DVDs, CDs, VHS). This allows you to quickly assess your competition and price appropriately. Prices will be color coded. Red for Used, Purple for New, Gold for Amazon, and Green for FBA sellers.
In addition to the auto-pricing feature, you can also enter five other prices that you may use as common price points. We use $25 on many items because at $25 the item will qualify for Free Super Saver Shipping all by itself. You can enter any prices here and you will then be able to assign a price with just one click.
Condition Notes
Use this feature to quickly and easily add default descriptions that you would include for multiple items in the same general condition.
Options available for Condition Notes:
When this is ON, the condition popup will show right after entering an item. You can then choose your condition. Users who do not pre sort their items will likely use this setting. Users who pre sort their items by condition may turn this OFF and use in conjunction with the third option (explained below). These settings allow you to make your item condition and Condition Notes 'sticky'.
When this is ON, the notes included here will be included in the items' description. For example, you may want to say, "Light shelf wear on edges and covers" for any book that you list in 'Used-Good' condition. You can also add a standard prefix to all conditions if you want to include some kind of promotional tagline. You can see below that we promote the eligibility of our items for Amazon's Free Super Saver Shipping. The entire tagline says, "Eligible for FREE Super Saving Shipping! Fast Amazon shipping plus a hassle free return policy mean your satisfaction is guaranteed! Tracking number provided in your Amazon account with every order." After this, we have more detailed notes pertaining to the condition of the item in each condition. When this is OFF, these notes will not be added to your items' Condition Notes.
When this is ON, each subsequent item will retain the same condition (and Condition Notes). Some users would call this 'sticky notes'. For users who pre sort their items by condition can turn this ON and and process items faster since they would not have to select condition on assign Condition Cotes. Both condition and Condition Notes will carry over to the next item. When this is OFF, your Condition Notes will reset to their defaults for each newly entered item.
Shipping Information
This is where you will enter your 'Ship From' information. This is typically your home or business address. Use the same address that you use in your Amazon account. For ShipFromName, you can use your Amazon account seller name. Be sure to use the TWO LETTER abbreviation for your ShipFromStateOrProvince. Also, use US for ShipFromCoutryCode, not USA.
Always click Save when you have made any account changes.

This records the number that you entered for your particular item. It may be a UPC, ISBN, or ASIN.
MSKU
This is your Merchant SKU number that is assigned to your item and uploaded to your Amazon account. It is sequential and based on the MSKU prefix you entered in the MSKU field. If you do, you will get an error message noting this This field can be edited by selecting the item and clicking the 'Edit Item' button.

Customer submitted images will show on Amazon, but are not pulled by FBAPower. You can click on the image to go directly to the Amazon product page in a new tab or window.
Price
The default setting for FBAPower users is the lowest used price +$3.99 if an item is listed in any 'Used' condition. If an item is listed as 'New', FBAPower will calculate the price based on the lowest 'New' offer +$3.99. If you are submitting media items such as CDs, DVDs, and VHS tapes, you can change the default to +$2.98 instead of +$3.99. This field can be edited by clicking the current price that is displayed. Click Save Item to save any changes.
Qty
This is the quantity of the item that you are submitting. If you have multiple, identical items, you can save steps by listing them all under one MSKU. They need to be listed having the same condition and same condition notes. This field can be edited by double clicking the current quantity displayed. Click Save Item to save any changes.
Condition
This is the condition of your item. Typically you will be using New, Used - Like New, Used - Very Good, Used - Good, and Used - Acceptable. To change this simply click on the condition that is displayed. The following options will pop up:
You can choose your desired item condition with a click of your mouse. When finished, click 'Save'. Once the FNSKU label has been printed, you can not change the condition of the item. If you need to change an item's condition, remove the item and then enter the item again.

You can then add any of the General Notes that you entered under your account settings by simply clicking on the notes that you want to add. Once you have selected your desired condition notes, click 'Save'. This field can also be customized to include any text input specific to your item. FNSKU
This is the unique item that Amazon uses to inventory your item once it gets to the Amazon fulfillment center. This number will print on the label that you affix to your item.
Fulfillment
This is the designated Amazon fulfillment center for this item. If you are a book seller, most of your items will go to a single fulfillment center. However, every now and then some items go to a different fulfillment center. Use this column to easily identify when items are going to different fulfillment centers so that you don't pack them together only to find that you have to separate them later. FBAPower will create two separate shipments if your items are going to two different fulfillment centers.
Sales Rank
This is the Amazon sales rank listing on the Amazon product page at the time the item was entered. You can use this information to determine if the item is a good match for FBA and your business model. Amazon sales rank fluctuates over time (both up and down) so you should only use it as a guide.
