FBA Power Workflow

This will walk you through the designed workflow of FBAPower.

MSKU System
The first thing to do when starting a new shipment is to assign an MSKU. This MSKU will be the prefix for all SKUs in this shipment. It will auto-increment with each added item.

The numbering system works like this:

You can use anything that you want for a prefix but be consistent so that you can recall shipments at a later time. We recommend using your initials and the date followed by a number. Use an underscore to separate them.

For example: ABC_05052010_100

Where ABC are your initials, 05052010 is the date, and you will start your numbering at 100. The first item that you scan or enter will be assigned the SKU number ABC_05052010_100. The second item will be assigned the SKU number ABC_05052010_101 and so on. It is designed this way so that you can restore a shipment in the event that you are unable to finish an entire shipment, your login session times out due to inactivity, you are interrupted, or even if the power goes out.

Restore Function
To restore a shipment using this method, you would enter ABC_05052010 in the MSKU field and click Restore at the top of the screen.

Entering an Item
To enter your first item, scan or enter the UPC, ISBN, or ASIN number in the entry field.

Once the item is found, you will see the following popup window. Here you can select the condition of the item.
You can edit this later if needed. Once the condition is selected, click Save.

You will then see the pricing popup window.

Here, you can see the Amazon ASIN number, the sales rank and the number of offers.

You can also see an image of the item to verify that the item you scanned matches the Amazon product page. If you click the image, a new tab will open with the Amazon Used Marketplace Offers (if you selected a Used condition) or Amazon New Marketplace Offers (if you selected New condition).

The prices displayed are the NET prices meaning that each price that is merchant fulfilled has $3.99 added to it. Since we are listing with FBA and we are pricing against non FBA sellers, the NET price is what we need to know.

Here you can see that there are 57 offers. There is one FBA seller and Amazon sells this book in New condition.

You can also see the lowest five Used offers (with their corresponding conditions) and the lowest five New offers.

Used offers are coded in RED.
New offers are coded in PURPLE.
FBA sellers are coded in GREEN.
Amazon as a seller is coded in YELLOW.

FBA sellers and Amazon are considered free shipping so all prices displayed are the NET prices that we are competing against.

The program is auto-pricing this item at $5.70 to match the lowest Used offer (because we chose Used - Very Good. If we chose New, it would have been priced against the lowest New offers). With the information provided by FBAPower, you can discern if this is a good price, or if you want to change it. The lowest price is in Acceptable condition. Because this item has a good sales rank (87K) and since we are listing it in Used - Very Good Condition as an FBA offer, we can command a higher price. I would probably list this item at $9.94 so that I would be the 5th seller listed on the Amazon page (after the three low prices and the one FBA seller). You may choose to match the other FBA seller but remember that you are listing with a better condition so you should get a better price. If the sales rank is a lot higher, then you may get more aggressive to get the next sale and price your items accordingly.

You can choose to match any listed price by clicking the price and then clicking save. If you want to enter your own price, just enter it in the box at the bottom and click save.

After saving your price, you can click anywhere on the notes field to edit the notes.

You will get the following popup that has your specific condition notes that you entered from your account settings.

You can choose any applicable notes and the click Save. Your condition notes will be added to the notes for this item. If you checked the box for 'Auto-add to Notes when selecting product condition?' in your account settings, then your General Notes will show first and will be followed by any Condition Notes that you selected.

Editing an Item
If you need to make any manual changes to your MSKU (not recommended), Condition, Price, Quantity, or Notes, you can select the item and then Edit Item. After making your changes, click Save Edit.

Printing an FBA Label
When you are finished with entering the details for each item, click the Print Label button.

A new tab will open for the FBA label on the first label of the batch. The print dialog box will pop up. Choose your label printer and print your label.

Attach it to the book (be sure to cover all existing UPCs or barcodes) and you're done. Click back to the FBAPower tab in your browser. Leave the label tab open (the program will use the same tab for the next label and you won't have to navigate away from the program again).

Submitting a Shipment

When you have completed your shipment and you are ready to send the items to your Amazon account, click Ship at the top of the page.

You will get a popup that looks like this:

For most shipments, you will use the assigned ShipmentId and click Ship. You have the option to add to an existing shipment if you have processed a shipment through FBAPower but not completed it in your Amazon Shipping Queue. To do this, you would need to select Add to Existing and then enter the ShipmentId that you used for the previous shipment. Please contact info@fbapower.com prior to using this feature to ensure that you do not lose any saved items.

THAT'S IT!

Your shipment is now in your Amazon account in your Shipping Queue. Just log into your Amazon account and finish the final steps. You'll need to print packing slips and UPS labels. Welcome to the future of FBA product submission!
